By June 24, 2014 August 24th, 2015 Caversham Festival

This years Caversham Festival sees the addition of a new stage for Electronic Music lovers; The ‘Beats n Bass’ stage will feature a range of acts from Caversham, Reading and the surrounding areas playing sounds from across the electronic spectrum including House, Electro, Drum n Bass and Hip Hop.

Artists performing at Bass n Beats..

DUTTY MOONSHINE

Dutty Moonshine are a mash-up collective of DJ’s who lace bass heavy sets together with a vintage sound.

To call these guys Electro Swing is like trying to call Tiddlywinks a sport. They push the boundaries to controversy and really have one aim for sets: to create absolute mayhem through fun, baselines and antics to rival any cabaret.

They’re definitely DJ’s with a live act, confining them in a DJ booth will merely mean the booth will explode into unicorns and nobody will survive to tell the tale.

THE STEPPER

The dream of countless teenagers is to inspire crowds of others, like only a talented musician can. This 16-year-old DJ and producer The Stepper, a.k.a. Ross Duncan, has taken initiative in achieving such success, first smashing the highest grades in drums at an early age, then setting himself up as a local mobile DJ.  As well as battling GCSEs, The Stepper has started a music mission, by completing the Arts Award scheme with Readipop and by conjuring tracks and uploading them to his SoundCloud and YouTube.

Festival DJing appearances so far have included Henley’s ‘Music On The Meadows’ and the Henley Youth Festival and his passion for electronic music has led him to play at Caversham Festival. He will be kicking things off on the Bass n Beats stage at 2pm with a mix of underground house and upfront electro smashers, including some of his own tracks.
