Funded by Heritage Lottery ‘Reading On Tour’ is a Readipop project that will work with a group of young people from Reading to explore Reading’s rich cultural heritage, focusing on local cultural heritage from Reading and the surrounding area, with a strong focus on significant people and places in worlds of photography, cinema and literature. The project will ultimately create a cultural heritage trail to follow around the town.

Job Summary

To support the delivery of the ‘Reading On Tour’, including administration, co-ordinating, corresponding with project participants and having an overview of all project activity.

Principal Responsibilities

1)    To carry out administration for the project and events, ensuring that organisational systems are maintained.

2)    To liaise with artists, schools, participants, project partners, other external organisations and internal staff to ensure the smooth running of the project.

3)    To be first point of contact for project participants keeping them regularly updated on the project to maximise attendance.

4)    To help maintain databases, create website information and other digital media content relevant to the project.

5)    To assist the Readipop team in marketing events and workshops to ensure that attendances are maximised.

6)    To attend workshops and events and collect feedback from participants.

7)    To support the planning and delivery of all “Reading On Tour” events.

8)    To respond to all telephone, postal and e-mail enquiries promptly and act as a point of contact for “Reading On Tour”

9)    To ensure equipment for workshops is ready and available.

10) As part of the post the successful candidate will undertake accreditation as appropriate, via Arts Award, AQA Unit Awards and Creative Apprenticeships.

11) To undertake any other duties as required that are commensurate with the general level of responsibility of this post.

Salary

Full time 30 hours p/w office-based, freelance contract, £6.50 p/h. You will based at Readipop Studios, Reading, RG1 8LG.
